Policies

  • Tuition payments are due by the 1st of every month/1st day of the session.

  • If tuition is unpaid by the 7th of the month, my card on file will be charged. An active credit card must be
    kept on file with DTTA for monthly tuition charges. Late fees may be charged for unpaid tuition
    ($10.00/week late).

  • If tuition is unpaid by the 15th of the month (or due date), dancers may not be able to participate in classes,
    although full payment for that month will still be due.

  • Proper attire & shoes are required for classes and will refer to the Attire Requirements. Certain classes will require DTTA attire to be purchased.

  • The registration fee & tuition are non-refundable. There must be 30 days notice of class cancellation. Parent
    is still responsible for that month’s/session’s payment. There are no credits or refunds given for missed
    classes or absences. There are no refunds for classes, recital fees, or any other DTTA activities due to
    pandemics or any other causes-no exceptions. Classes will be converted to 100% online when necessary.

  • If classes are canceled due to studio events, holidays, weather, etc. parents are responsible for bringing
    their child to a make-up class. There are no refunds or credits, no exceptions. Make-ups must be completed
    within one month of absence, no exceptions.

  • DTTA reserves the right to remove any student/parent from the studio for inappropriate or harmful behavior, including but not limited to social bullying, online bullying, aggressive behavior, etc. Refunds on already purchased costuming will not be provided.

  • Parent must notify the dance instructor if their child will be absent for an extended period of time, equal to
    one month or more. Without notification, parent may be responsible for an additional registration fee in order to hold their child’s placement in class. Parent is still responsible for payment for any missed classes due to an extended absence. Students may attend make-up classes for missed classes. In order for any student to have an extended absence, the month of absence must still be paid for to hold their spot in class.

  • Dance is a physical activity, and Dance Through the Ages and/or DTTA staff or instructors will not be held
    responsible for any injury and/or illness that may occur during class activities or routine rehearsals, either on
    DTTA premises or any performance location.

  • Parents must arrive at the conclusion of their child’s class-on time- every week.

  • Tuition is based on a season of classes and broken into monthly payments. Holidays and breaks have
    already been factored into the tuition count. All pictures taken of dancers during class, performances, etc. is
    Dance Through the Ages property, and may be used for advertising, display, etc. including use by approved
    DTTA photographers.

  • There is a $25.00 returned check fee. There is a shoe rental fee of $5.00/day. Students who arrive to class
    without shoes, loaners will be provided and the parent account will be charged. Students must arrive to
    class on time. If a student arrives more than 10 minutes late, they may not be allowed access since class
    has already started. A makeup class can be scheduled.

  • Parents must observe all safety, mask, etc. policies that may be in place to keep the DTTA Family of
    Dancers safe and well cared for. If not followed, dancers will not be able to participate.

  • DTTA’s lobbies are open to students & staff only. One parent is permitted to watch their child’s trial class.
    For safety, DTTA’s doors remain locked during business hours to control all entry. Parent Observation days
    will be scheduled throughout the dance season, and all parents will be invited in to film, take pictures, etc.
