We are thrilled to be able to offer our dance instruction in our beautiful studio facility, as well as our school locations. In order to make this a positive experience for students and parents, we ask that everyone familiarize themselves with our policies and procedures. Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to help!
To follow are our policies as applied to our studio students. These policies are still applicable to our school locations, but may be adjusted accordingly for certain issues that may not apply concerning attire, student pick-up, etc. For specifics on requirements for school locations, please contact us directly. Tuition payments are due by the first of every month. If tuition is not paid by the 7th of the month, there is a $10.00/week late fee added to the tuition balance. This balance will continue to carry over if unpaid. If tuition is unpaid by the 15th of the month, the dancer may not be able to participate in classes, although the balance for that month must be paid in full. - There is a non-refundable registration fee of $30.00 for the 1st child, $20.00 for each additional child.
There are no credits or refunds for missed classes or absences. If a child misses a class, an appropriate make-up class can be taken in its place. This class must be approved by the instructor. The dance instructor must be notified if any dancer will be absent for an extended period of time, equal to one month or more. Without notification, parents will still be responsible for their tuition payment. An additional registration fee may apply in order to hold the dancer’s placement in class if no notification has been given. Dance is a physical activity, and Dance Through the Ages and/or DTTA staff or instructors will not be held responsible for any injury that may occur during normal class activity. All students must be picked up at the conclusion of every class. For every 10 minutes that an instructor must wait with any dancer past the conclusion of class time, parents will be charged $10.00, due at the time of pick-up. Tuition is based on a season of classes, averaging to 4 classes/month, but this number may change due to holidays. Every dancer will still receive the same number of classes, or tuition will be adjusted accordingly. All pictures taken of dancers during class, performances, etc. is Dance Through the Ages property, and may be used for advertising, display, etc. There is a $25.00 returned check fee. We will have designated times when parents will be invited into class to watch their dancer. During normal class days, we ask that all parents remain outside the dance room, until the conclusion of class. Proper dance attire is required for a successful dance experience. We ask that all students arrive to class prepared. All dancers should carry their dance shoes in a dance bag. In order to avoid confusion, you may want to label your dancer’s shoes with their names on the inside. We highly recommend this for students 5 years old and younger. Please be sure to take your dancer to the bathroom before class begins, so we can keep restroom trips to a minimum. All dancers are expected to participate in the recital at the end of the year (May), but it is not a requirement to participate in class. There is an additional fee, due in December, for participation in the recital. This fee includes a costume, 1 pair of tights, participation in the rehearsal, and participation in the recital. This payment is non-refundable after December 15, 2011. More information will go home to parents in October/November concerning the dance recital.

“Hi Meredith (Ms. Merri), Thank you so much for ALL you did to make Brooke's first dance recital so beautiful for us. I couldn't stop crying on Sunday because I was overwhelmed with so much emotion. It was so amazing to see my little girl on stage and in her costume. Then hearing you talk at the finale just made me cry more :-) You and all your staff are so wonderful. Thank you for you warm heart and for taking such good care of her. You have such a special way about you and definitely found your calling in life. I am so blessed that we found you through Brooke's school. We look forward to having her with you for many years to come.” Gina Hendrick, Parent-2010 |
