Meredith Dreyfuss,Dance/Program Director
Meredith Dreyfuss, founder and director of Dance Through the Ages, has been dancing for over 20 years. Her training began in Miami Beach at The British Academy of Theatrical Arts under the direction of Jeanne Hichcliffe. After studying tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and the hip hop genres of dance, Meredith went on to win numerous awards in both local and national competitions. She was also selected as a dancer in the SuperBowl XXIX Pre-Game show. She has studied with master teachers and choreographers, always striving to learn more about the technical and current trends in the dance world.
At the age of 18, Meredith began teaching. Meredith has been instructing in studios and schools for over 10 years. This led her to the position of assistant director of a dance studio. While managing, teaching, and assisting in the direction of shows, Meredith developed Studio Success—a series of guides and scripted themes dedicated to helping dance studio owners and instructors organize a successful school and recital. Studio Success has become well known among those in the dance world, and scripts are sold to studios both nationally and internationally. After receiving her B.A. in English Literature from Florida Atlantic University, Meredith developed Just For You Publications—a personalized book business for both children and adult occasion themed books. Meredith has earned her teaching certification, and has taught in preschools, elementary schools, and middle schools. She is also a member of the International Dance Teachers Association.
Because of her love for dance, and her belief that all extracurricular activities are an essential part of building a child’s confidence in themselves and others, she founded Dance Through the Ages. Meredith believes that there is nothing better than seeing a child excel at something they at first found impossible to do. When children are exposed to dance through school enrichments, they are learning within a comfort zone they are familiar with. This enables them to enjoy dance, and all of its benefits to the fullest extent. With loving instruction, and a positive atmosphere, there is little a child cannot accomplish. Because of this philosophy, Dance Through the Ages is dedicated to sharing that love of dance with children and adults alike.
